Project Overview
The Coffee Container, or The CoCo, is a (proposed) student-run coffee stand at the New Jersey Institute of Technology designed to meet the needs of both students and faculty, while also periodizing environmental sustainability and economic responsibility. Developed in collaboration with students from the Martin Tuchman School of Management (MTSM) and the Hillier College of Architecture and Design (HCAD), a shipping container will be recycled into a coffee stand, allowing for an inclusive social environment where the campus community can gather, connect, and engage in the heart of the NJIT upperclassmen dorms and parking garage.
To understand most of what goes into planning and designing a coffee stand, my role included both collaborating in both the HCAD and MTSM aspects of the project: helping design the interior and exterior of the shipping container, while also planning a budget to yield the best income.

Location
The location for The Coffee Container will be built on Summit Street, right in front of the main parking garage and in the center of the upper classmen and Greek Life dorms. This location is the prime spot for The CoCo since it is away from the main area that already has a coffee shop in the Campus Center, giving students and teachers who commute the opportunity to grab a treat or drink before classes start.
